## 1 Product Introduction

The square coating applicator, also known as a cubic coater, is a stainless steel block structure with coating blades of different specifications at both ends and a filling through-hole in the middle. It is mainly used in conjunction with a linear drying time recorder to prepare a continuous wet coating film with a width of **12.7 mm** on the recorder's glass strip for testing the film drying time (GB/T 1728, ASTM D1640).

This instrument is only for preparing strips for drying time testing and **not for preparing gloss test specimens according to GB/T 9754**.
