Impack device DL hardness probe DL for hardness testing of steel, cast steel with HRC, HRB,HV,HS and HB scales.
Its basic principle is that an impingent body with a certain mass impinges on the surface of the sample under a certain test force, and the impact velocity and rebound velocity at a distance of 1mm from the surface of the sample are measured. Using the electromagnetic principle, the voltage induced is proportional to the velocity. The value of Hardness is expressed as the ratio of the rebound velocity of the impact body to the impact velocity.
