Roughness Meter Sensor Extension Rod
The roughness meter sensor extension rod is a dedicated accessory that connects the roughness meter main unit with the probe sensor. Its core function is to extend the reach range of the measurement probe, enabling the instrument to perform surface roughness detection on locations that are difficult for conventional probes to reach, such as the inner walls of deep holes, the bottom of grooves, the sides of steps, and the inner surfaces of narrow cavities.
| Material | Stainless steel |
| Length specification | Common sizes include 50mm, 100mm, 150mm, and 200mm, and custom extension rods are supported |
| Connection accuracy | The tolerance of the connection threads at both ends is ≤±0.005mm, and the coaxiality is ≤0.01mm |
Precautions for use
Calibration requirements
After installing the extension rod, the instrument must be recalibrated with a standard calibration block to eliminate the systematic error introduced by the rod body.
Extension rods of different lengths need to be calibrated separately and calibration parameters must not be mixed.
Operating Specifications
When measuring, keep the rod body perpendicular to the surface to be measured to avoid tilting, which may cause probe wear or data distortion.
Do not forcefully collide the extension rod with the probe to prevent loosening of the connection part or deformation of the rod body.
Maintenance and upkeep
After each use, wipe the surface of the rod body to prevent dust and oil stains from entering the connection threads.
When stored for a long time, it needs to be disassembled and stored separately to avoid deformation under pressure.
Error control
When the length of the extension rod exceeds 200mm, it is recommended to use a support seat to assist in fixation and reduce vibration.
Give priority to using short rods for measurement, and only use long rods when necessary.
